SEEDS conducted multiple training sessions in Hasbaya and Baalbeck to raise awareness on the crucial role municipalities play in improving people's lives. The sessions also highlighted the significance of youth participation in public life, particularly on the level of local communities, where meaningful change can be initiated.
Representatives of emerging political groups, human rights and political activists participated in the training sessions which provided valuable insights into the legal framework governing municipalities. These sessions tackled topics such as the establishment of municipalities, their authorities and management, budgeting and financing processes, accountability mechanisms, and the crucial role of the local communities in advancing the performance of these official entities.
