Our Approach
We offer several training modules covering Freedom of Expression, Assembly and Association, LGBTQ and women’s rights, anti-corruption, social entrepreneurship, and the rights of the Missing and the Forcibly disappeared.
Our training modules are thoughtfully designed to align with in-person meetings and online sessions while considering the unique needs of each target group we are aiming to reach. Additionally, they offer practical suggestions to address existing gaps in our laws, such as the adoption of internal policies and measures for the protection of human rights.
Freedom of Expression, Assembly and Association
SEEDS offers a training module on Freedom of Expression, Assembly, and Association within the Lebanese Legal Framework. This module delves into impactful advocacy strategies aimed at combating restrictions on civic spaces. Join us as we explore the intricacies of these essential rights and empower individuals to navigate the legal landscape with resilience and knowledge.
Gender
SEEDS develops training modules that focus on gender issues, particularly related to women's and LGBTQ rights within the Lebanese legal framework. These modules emphasize the existing inequalities, the necessary legal reforms, and the advocacy strategies required to combat human rights violations. Through this, we help our groups to create a more inclusive and equitable environment.
Anti-corruption
SEEDS conducts insightful training modules on the G7’s Financial Action Task Force (FATF), with a specific focus on Recommendation 8. We’re here to empower CSOs and NGOs to protect their entities from any abuse or exploitation in money laundering or terrorism financing.
Our module guides non-governmental organizations in adopting effective approaches to protect their mission and existence. We teach strategic insights to counter state attempts to impose restrictions on your work. We want to strengthen your organization's resilience and promote ethical practices in the financial realm.
Social Entrepreneurship
SEEDS offers tailored training modules to entrepreneurs, focusing on intellectual property rights and social entrepreneurship. This equips individuals with knowledge on creating legal entities for their businesses, civil companies and enterprises with a lasting social impact.
Our goal is to show the entrepreneurial community how to correctly implement the law to protect their innovations. Beyond legal empowerment, this training also has a positive economic impact, nurturing a thriving ecosystem of empowered and impactful ventures.
Transformative Peace
SEEDS offers a specialised training module on the rights of the Missing and the Forcibly Disappeared. This module is crafted to especially target women within feminist groups and movements from the MENA region. The module focuses on the role of women in establishing and preserving peace and security in the region.
This module is inspired by a collaborative effort with the Human Rights Clinic of La Sagesse University. Together, we produced a significant open online course on the rights of the Missing and the Forcibly Disappeared.
